Photo Challenge: Day One

If you know me at all you're probably thinking: why does Amy need a day photo challenge? It's true that for over five years I've taken a photo-a-day to document and reflect on the days I've been given. But, my friend Jenny mentioned in her blog she was doing this 30 day photo challenge and I thought maybe a challenge like this would be good for me to look at some of my photos differently and go a bit deeper in some reflections.

So, here's Day 1: Your Facebook Profile Photo

This photo was taken on a day trip to NYC a couple weeks back. I was in the city with my friend Rhonda to celebrate her birthday and we stopped in times square to take a few photos -- trying out my new camera and camera lense. I'm so thankful for my camera and while I have so much more to learn about how to use it, I love it! And, I love being so close to places like NYC (and Philly and DC and more). I love exploring all these cities have to offer: the history, the culture, the resturants, the parks, the people, and more. I realize it's a gift to have the opportunity to see and experiences places such as these... a gift I don't want to take for granted.
