The story goes like this: while visiting my friend Carla in Chicago in 1996, Carla's boyfriend was discussing my height with me... he proceeded to ask specifically if I would date someone shorter than myself. I responded that I like to feel small and enjoy standing next to taller men so that would be my preference, to which he responded "well, you could just stand next to tall things... like buildings". I responded in an exaggerated manner that "of course buildings are the only things taller than I..." etc.

Well, a year later I was visiting Chicago again, this time with my friend Lisa and we came across someone dressed as the John Hancock Building.... and the rest is history.
